| We are
currently not accepting any new entries or submissions
for our online archives.
Besides the over 6000 characters on display, we now have over
4000 characters from more than 350 artists waiting for evaluation,
including some high quality work on hold to be uploaded since
month. As we started the project we never thought this could happen,
but our database system is simply not designed to handle that
amount of files. This painfully forces us to momentarily shut
down the archives section.
We strongly feel that we shouldn't turn the curated exhibition
into a simple, self-contained, free to upload, web2.0 solution,
but since the pictoplasma project is run on a non profit basis,
we don't have the possibility to set up a more appropriate database
system in the near future.
Nevertheless, we are continuously dependent on you to introduce
us to your work, and we are always on the outlook for fresh and
convincing characters in art, design, animation or sculpture,
for possible inclusion in future projects, such as our publications,
exhibitions or animation festival.
